About Heber Valley

Nestled in the shadow of the striking Mount Timpanogos and sandwiched between the Wasatch and Uinta mountain ranges, the Heber Valley is a sight to behold. Comprised of Heber City and the town of Midway, the valley was first settled by farmers and ranchers, including a strong contingent of Swiss immigrants, the influence of which can be seen particularly in Midway. The valley, while growing and being developed rapidly, has in many ways preserved the small town feel and ranching roots with quaint main streets in each town, and sprawling farm fields made all the more picturesque by their alpine backdrop and the gently meandering Provo River.

While the roots of Heber Valley lie in farming and ranching, it’s safe to say that Heber and Midway have become Utah’s newest ski towns with Deer Valley’s East Village opening only 10 minutes away from the north end of the valley. Midway offers a more quaint and reserved charm akin to an alpine hamlet at the foot of the mountains, while the larger hub of Heber City provides a wider variety of real estate options and neighborhoods stemming from older, more modest homes in the city center to new developments within Jordanelle Ridge like Timp Grove, to a premier golf and racquet club destination at Red Ledges. Heber has big plans for continued growth and expansion, and is paving the way for changes to their master plan to facilitate better traffic flow and a vibrant, reimagined downtown area before they are needed. The Heber Valley offers stunning mountain scenery with two towns that offer better value for the money then Park City while keeping you within arms reach of all of the recreation options that the Wasatch Back has to offer.
